John Daly In Contention At The Italian Open

It Must Be The Pants Dude!!!!

It Must Be The Pants Dude!!!!

When I found out that John Daly finished his final round tied for second place at the Italian Open, I was very relieved. I felt happy for him, simply because I would really love for him to silence his critics. The same critics who love him when he wins, loves him when he is in contention, but hates him when he makes a mistake of any kind. Whatever happened to giving credit where it is due? For what its worth I am not saying Daly has always been right, but he is human and chances are good incentives. So while it may seem ok for all the media types to thrash and kick him while he is down. As a fan, we should realize that John Daly is just like you and me, the only difference, he has better golf game.

Daly finished in a three-way tie for second place behind Daniel Vancsik at the Italian Open on Sunday, charging back from 11th place with a 5-under 66 in the final round. Playing in his second tournament on the European Tour since the break, Daly shot a 31 on the back nine with birdies at the 11th, 14th, 16th and 17th holes, and was six strokes off the lead. The 66 was the fifth consecutive round in which Daly has broken 70. So lets all join in and congratulate Daly for his latest accomplishment. Continue to kick butt John and hang ,that silver lining maybe a putt away. Eye on the ball, mind on the game, and of course a few colorful pants won’t hurt.
